MONDAY CLASSES FIRST CLASS June 17th, 2008
Zumba Aerobics 5:45- PM The most authentic dance cardio with Latin music, burn your calories in your core to music that makes your work out fun. The new trend to an active workout. Ballroom: Social Dance 1 7:00 – PM The theme for this first course is Simplified Recreational Dancing. It provides the foundation for all partner dancing and future classes. Three core classes are taught; Single Swing (also referred to as Hustle), Foxtrot, Merengue and Waltz. No previous experience necessary. Partners not required.
Ballroom: Social Dance 2 7:50-PM This course has two goals; 1) Learn three new dances in social and night club situations and 2) Review, refine and add to the dances covered in Ballroom/Social Dancing I. Completion of this class will equip you to dance to almost any music on any dance floor. The new dances include East Coast Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba and Bachata. Pre-requisite: Ballroom/Social Dancing I or an equivalency. Partners not required.
WEDNESDAY CLASSES FIRST CLASS June 18th, 2008
Dance for Kids 4:15- PM Introduces younger kids to mixed dances – Salsa, Hip-Hop, and Ballroom. Appropriate for ages 8-12. The course will run for 10 weeks, ending on August 27th. Pilates 5:10- PM Introductory mat class designed for participants that are new to Pilates. Then the class utilizes a variety of small equipment including fitness circles, bands, foam rollers, Swiss balls, etc. to challenge the traditional mat exercise. Reformed mat beds may also be used.
Zumba Aerobics 6:00- PM
Argentine Tango 7:00 - PM This course is new and available through G’s Dance School. The instructor will be Diana Leystra and includes first time discounts. Please call Diana directly for additional information. (608) 385-4093. Although Diana is independent, we welcome Diana as part of our dance team. Partners not required.
